  4. Modify /etc/default/grub: sudo gedit /etc/default/grub.conf

Change from: 

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"

to: 

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_osi=Linux"

  1. Update grub: sudo update-grub

  2. Reboot your machine
